Halfway There and No Where
Anybody else feel that way? Halfway somewhere, halfway done with something, but yet not there? For me, it’s incredibly frustrating! They said it’s hard to get started, but I feel that it’s harder to keep up that momentum and keeping going. Take a look at New Year Resolutions – people make them, get going and get some momentum and then… something happens. They say it takes 21 days to make a habit and 90 days to make a lifestyle. I myself struggle quite often with this. I am very bad about usually doing great for 1-2 weeks and then a distraction happens. Either short or long term, simply my motivation…

June’s Reaching For the Stars
Happy June everyone! Can you believe we are already 5 months finished and almost halfway through the year?!?! It seems like we are just blowing by 2019. Since time is going so fast, it’s a good time to revisit goals made. There are some that I’m sure will not get accomplished this year, but that’s ok! May is usually a good month for me personally with reflection and new experiences or chapters in my life (college graduation, a few years ago I went on a special celebratory mountain cabin trip with close friends, music concerts and more). Here’s to the last shining moments of 2018 and to the new glimmers of 2019! – It’s the end of 2018! – While not the best night, I…

2019 Goals + January Goals
I hope that everyone has had a great start to the New Year! It’s already Day 5, can you believe it?! One of my goals is re-committing to writing blog posts again. I got wrapped up in personal things and I’ve been able to get some things finished up and other things off of my mind, so I’m ready to get focused on my Yearly Word: Roots. This might sound like an odd word, but this year is about starting from the beginning, focusing on the bottom up and re-growing. This year involves trimming back the tangles and unwanted items to be able to grow. It is also me wanting…

Shining Moments – September 2018 – Week 3
Hello everyone! Seriously, where has September gone?! Wasn’t it just Labor day? But guess what, it’s that time again for Shining Moments, a weekly gratitude overview and reflection. This week’s reflection is about Normalcy. I feel like this month has TOTALLY flown by, but then again with school back in session, Labor day, Hurricane Florence… I guess it was easy to get wrapped up in the chaos and business. This week’s Gratitude list: Still very thankful for not getting hit by Hurricane Florence Despite closing down work for a few days, we were able to get right back into things and back to work, so we pretty much got…
