Shining Moments: July 10th-16th, 2022
It’s been awhile since I posted this year as it’s been an insane/crazy/busy year, but I’ve really been wanting to get back into writing these posts. This week has been about small things, food and shopping. Shining Moments – Got free smoothies for me and babe. They were having tech issues and by the time they tried to run my card, the system said “NOPE, not today.” I offered to come back later to pay for them, but he said not to worry about it – Babe got to see a hummingbird at the feeder we have outside finally! He’s seen them flit by, but never stationary – While…

Shining Moments: May 10th – 16th, 2020
What a week! Anybody else find that mid-month always seems so much busier/hectic? This week was busy, but it had a lot of nice moments. Check out this week’s Shining Moments and a delicious update to the 32 Things lists. Shining Moments – Still working (considered an essential) at the hotel – I have been given some new/added Sales responsibilities at work. Since I’ve been proving myself (and it’s been slower at the desk for check ins/outs), we’re advancing my responsibilities list and I have been given permission to go ahead and start reaching out to the prospects on the spreadsheet tracker that I made for my department. –…

Shining Moments – April 12th – 18th, 2020
I hope that everyone had a good Easter weekend. I can’t get over how we are already halfway through April?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Not that I’m complaining, but we’re already into the 2nd quarter of the year! This April week’s edition is just about the moments, no updates or reflection this week. Shining Moments – Still working (considered an essential) at the hotel – Still working UberEats – the Easter weekend + everyone’s April bills put a dent in it, but I’m hoping once everyone’s stimulus checks start rolling in, there will be more orders to deliver. – Easter baskets for the boys were a big hit! At least April had a little…

Shining Moments: March 1st – 7th, 2020
Happy March everyone! I hope that the weather has been beautiful where you’re at. It’s been mostly raining and the temp keeps changing here, so some days it’s a nice rain and other days it’s just GROSS. This week I was really focused on being able to make rent, so unfortunately my eyes weren’t as perceptive to the Shining Moments around me. While I had my moments of being bummed about it, I also know that I would be creating undue anxiety on myself if I chose to focus on that. We all have our moments of ups and downs, that’s just called Life™. I still found some good moments…

Shining Moments – Feb 23 – 29, 2020
Happy end of February and Happy beginning of March. January sure took its time, but February just FLEW on by! It’s time for another edition of Shining Moments, the weekly gratitude list. This week was my first complete week of doing Sales (mostly) on my own. Shining Moments – Last week I mentioned that I awesomely received a $100 Amazon gift card as a birthday/goodbye gift. Yay for Amazon shopping spree! It was hard to pick things that I wanted, but I was able to get Sarah Steckler‘s awesome Finding Your Way (allow me to rephrase, MANY awesome journals). I’ve been part of Sarah’s courses and followings and I always…

Kitchen Cooking Gadgets… I Have Plenty!
How about that, January is almost over! Where did the month go?! This week is about how to use the cooking utensils and appliances that you use or have access to. We have kitchens and break areas full of items and appliances, but we probably don’t use them as often as we could. I know for me, I have very little time to try to cook (and I’m only cooking for 1 or 2). Here’s some ideas and tips to consider: Do a kitchen inventory of what you do have – knowing what kitchen/cooking tools, gadgets and appliances will help you figure out how you can cook better and more efficiently…

Cook It, Eat it, Enjoy It! (Food Choice Considerations)
How is your January going? I originally wrote this post for the holidays, but really this can be applied all year long! This week is about some food choice options to consider to see if they match up with your fitness goals. Enjoy, but don’t indulge: There’s magic and loved baked into some of the awesome dishes, recipes and especially for those special holiday plates and treats. Don’t skip out and miss something you enjoy! Instead eat 1 or 2 treats vs 4 or 5 and eat only 1 or 2 servings vs cleaning out the whole slow cooker. Like they say – everything in moderation… Don’t forget to eat…
