Welcoming 2022 (Word of the Year, Goals & Intentions)
Happy New Year everyone! 2021 sure flew by and good riddance!!!! Like the meme says: But seriously. It’s been no cakewalk for anybody and straight up hell for some. Despite what category you find yourself in, I hope that you will take the time to truly reflect on what has recently happened, how we’ve reacted (either good or bad), take a deep breath, woosaw/woosah a little bit and then look forward to 2022 with even the littlest and tiniest shred of hope. Keeping with the tradition of deciding on a word for the year and what goals/intentions I want to pursue, I have made my decisions earlier than usual.…

Shining Moments – February 9 – 15, 2020
February is sure flying by (we’re halfway done already!) and there’s been changes & love in the air. This week’s list may seem sorta small, but I was very occupied this week – finishing up a training manual (ended up being 146 pages + extra stuff copied off in an Appendix section), working all of the jobs, taking up an offer for a side job and taking up a babysitting job. This week was a complete whirlwind, but I definitely got different types of love this week (which just happened to coincide with Valentine’s Day/Week). Shining moments – This was my last full-time hour week at my job and I…

Kitchen Cooking Gadgets… I Have Plenty!
How about that, January is almost over! Where did the month go?! This week is about how to use the cooking utensils and appliances that you use or have access to. We have kitchens and break areas full of items and appliances, but we probably don’t use them as often as we could. I know for me, I have very little time to try to cook (and I’m only cooking for 1 or 2). Here’s some ideas and tips to consider: Do a kitchen inventory of what you do have – knowing what kitchen/cooking tools, gadgets and appliances will help you figure out how you can cook better and more efficiently…

Shining Moments : April 28th – May 4th
Happy May everyone! Seriously, where has this year gone?! We’re already 5/12 months into the year. At least Spring is definitely here and has decided to stay so I am very grateful for that (it’s even already gotten into the low to mid 80s here – should be an interesting Summer temperature wise). Let’s keep on going with the gratitude list, it’s time for the first installment of May’s Shining Moments. If you weren’t aware, May 4th is basically National Star Wars Day: “May the Fourth Be With You” (Get it? “May the Force with You”) I noticed we were missing several of our Star Wars movies (could only…

Gratitude & Mindset, Let's Get Real, Life is Worth Living For, Love With all of Your Heart, Shining Moments (Weekly Gratitude & Reflection)
Shining Moments (1/13 – 1/19)
Hello everyone! Can you believe January is halfway over? Where did it go?! It’s that time again for another edition of Shining Moments – weekly gratitude awareness and reflection. This week was more of a struggle for me, felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster all week. #Honestycheck: You know it gets rough when you’re crying while eating pizza at the same time. Shining Moments – Airport greeting (Sunday and Monday) went really well, the group was super duper nice (18 hours spent at the airport lol) – Got to train a coworker on her first Airport greeting, she did great and managed several on her own…

Mid Week Gratitude Check In
Happy Thursday everyone! I’m a day late doing a mid week gratitude check in, but I just got back in town yesterday. With Hurricane Irma doing very weird things and also being a family member’s birthday, we ended up going out of town to evacuate just in case and also to celebrate a birthday. Literal Hurricane/birthday party haha. Lots of emotions this week, but I am grateful for this experience. Without further ado, here is this week’s mid week gratitude check in… Things I’m Grateful For: Everyone I know that would/have been impacted by Irma is safe No damage to our home Power apparently only seemed to be off…

How to Host a Success Party
I don’t know about you, but this summer went by so quick! It’s practically over and school time is almost upon on us. Our boys go back on the 15th and then college here starts around the 23rd. Did the summer go by as quickly for you? As we have summer draw to a close, I’d like to share a great idea to end the summer with a celebration of the moments that were created with the people you’ve met and/or shared with. Of course, like any party, you got to plan out some details first. Who do you want to invite? How are you going to invite them (paper, digital,…
