How to Host a Success Party
I don’t know about you, but this summer went by so quick! It’s practically over and school time is almost upon on us. Our boys go back on the 15th and then college here starts around the 23rd. Did the summer go by as quickly for you? As we have summer draw to a close, I’d like to share a great idea to end the summer with a celebration of the moments that were created with the people you’ve met and/or shared with. Of course, like any party, you got to plan out some details first. Who do you want to invite? How are you going to invite them (paper, digital,…

Making (and Rocking) a Success Journal
It’s always kinda of made me twitch when someone says: “I’m too blessed to be stressed!” As it’s certainly been over used, I have to fight the urge to roll my eyes. However, the idea behind the phrase does have some merit. If you’re so focused on being positive, appreciating the small things, practicing gratitude for who you are, what you do and what you have and respecting the successes that are in your life, then the feelings of chaos, unworthiness and overall negativity are minor to the radiant glow that you have. Bask in that glow baby. As you already know, this month’s theme is about success. Earlier this…

Oh Charleston (Part 2)
Welcome back! Are you ready for more? In this part, I show you other places in Charleston well worth the visit along with more food and drink options. Day 3 – Mount Pleasant Welcome to day 3. Today we’re heading away from the downtown peninsula and driving over the Arthur Ravenel Bridge, replacing the 2 Cooper River Bridges and opened in 2005. Drive towards West Coleman and at the 1st light take a right. Once past the Shell…

Oh Charleston (Part 1)
Oh Charleston… or also known as “Chal-ston” for the deep Southerners. History and Beauty run here rampant. Throw in some food and drinks and trips to the beach, why would you want to live anywhere else? Sure we can get hot here, but that’s alright, we got plenty to do to keep you busy to take your mind off that heat. We got so much to do here that we haven’t been awarded as a top destination city for nothing. While there are plenty of books and magazines and websites that tell you what to do while you’re here, trust a born/raised/living there Charleston native. These are the things…

Happy Father’s Day!!!
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads in the world! And by all Dads, I mean ALL Dads for: Dads Stepdads Grandads Adoptive Dads Father-in-laws Pet Dads New Dads Godfathers Uncles Dads in Heaven Dads-to-be & Honorary Dads! To my Dad 🙂 It takes a lot of different types of dads to make the world go around, but every 3rd Sunday of June, we take a day to celebrate the manliness of Fatherhood. As mentioned above, there are a lot of types of dads, some we may not even always recognize. I, of course, would like to shoutout to 5 dads in my life: My biological Dad…

Direction
Everything in our lives revolves (no pun intended) around direction. This ranges from daily, even mundane routines all the way up to politics and religion. Up, down. Left, right. North. South. East. West. North vs. South. Let’s get more specific. East Coast vs. West Coast. North Carolina, South Carolina. (Yes, I’m a Southern Babe). North Korea. South Korea. Northern Italian food, Southern Italian food (my family just recently had an Italian dinner, delicious no matter what). East side vs. West side. Left party or Right party. Heaven or Hell. All directions. No matter where the direction is, it’s the what the direction leads…
