Today is a special today, the 2nd Sunday of May and that’s Mother’s Day here in the US. I wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all types of moms – 2 legs, 4 legs, Rainbow babies, Moms-to-be and those who have mother-like spirits. Hello everyone! Can you believe January is halfway over? Where did it go?! It’s that time again for another edition of Shining Moments – weekly gratitude awareness and reflection. Happy Saturday everyone and Happy Armed Forces Day. Today marks a military holiday of the 3rd Saturday in May (which btw May is Military Month!), where we celebrate our active duty military forces. With Memorial Day right around the corner (where we celebrate our fallen forces), it’s easy to get mixed up. Happy September! Crazy how we’ve already gotten to September right?! Feels like the summer just started not too long ago and here we are with fall leaves going to be turning colors soon. I must say, I am so over this summer. It was insanely HOT this summer and even for Charleston, this summer was miserable and I’ve lived here my entire life. July alone had 22/31 days that were 95 above and heat indexes up to 117. Even this past weekend, we had Hurricane Hermine stop by and show us a visit here in Charleston. It’s always kinda of made me twitch when someone says: “I’m too blessed to be stressed!” As it’s certainly been over used, I have to fight the urge to roll my eyes. However, the idea behind the phrase does have some merit.
