Shining Moments : April 28th – May 4th
Happy May everyone! Seriously, where has this year gone?! We’re already 5/12 months into the year. At least Spring is definitely here and has decided to stay so I am very grateful for that (it’s even already gotten into the low to mid 80s here – should be an interesting Summer temperature wise). Let’s keep on going with the gratitude list, it’s time for the first installment of May’s Shining Moments. If you weren’t aware, May 4th is basically National Star Wars Day: “May the Fourth Be With You” (Get it? “May the Force with You”) I noticed we were missing several of our Star Wars movies (could only…

Gratitude & Mindset, Let's Get Real, Life is Worth Living For, Love With all of Your Heart, Shining Moments (Weekly Gratitude & Reflection)
Shining Moments (1/13 – 1/19)
Hello everyone! Can you believe January is halfway over? Where did it go?! It’s that time again for another edition of Shining Moments – weekly gratitude awareness and reflection. This week was more of a struggle for me, felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster all week. #Honestycheck: You know it gets rough when you’re crying while eating pizza at the same time. Shining Moments – Airport greeting (Sunday and Monday) went really well, the group was super duper nice (18 hours spent at the airport lol) – Got to train a coworker on her first Airport greeting, she did great and managed several on her own…

Shining Moments (1/6-1/12)
Hi everyone! I hope that you’ve had a good week and a great weekend. I’m currently working today for my full time job, but I have some breaks in between (I’m currently writing this at the airport, improvising!!!). It’s that time again for Shining Moments, a weekly gratitude/awareness post. Note: Since I’m at the airport and am writing this on the fly, I don’t have the pictures I wanted to attach for this week. Also this post is written as my thoughts came to me (usually I try to write from Sun – Sat order). When I revise this post later on this week, I will fix that so if…

Shining Moments : 12/30/18 – 1/5/19
I hope that everyone is having an amazing start to 2019. It’s almost always bittersweet to see a year end and become nostalgic, but also eager for new adventures for an upcoming year. Work was quiet and I focused on getting things cleaned out of my desk (ALL the paper, I think we can all relate haha) and working on year end stuff for the accounting department. Christmas was nice and the last few days of 2018 just WHIZZED right on through! Here’s to the last shining moments of 2018 and to the new glimmers of 2019! – It’s the end of 2018! – While not the best night, I…

Shining Moments – September 2018 – Week 3
Hello everyone! Seriously, where has September gone?! Wasn’t it just Labor day? But guess what, it’s that time again for Shining Moments, a weekly gratitude overview and reflection. This week’s reflection is about Normalcy. I feel like this month has TOTALLY flown by, but then again with school back in session, Labor day, Hurricane Florence… I guess it was easy to get wrapped up in the chaos and business. This week’s Gratitude list: Still very thankful for not getting hit by Hurricane Florence Despite closing down work for a few days, we were able to get right back into things and back to work, so we pretty much got…

Shining Moments – September 2018 Week 2
Hello everyone! First thing: We are safe from Hurricane Florence *whew*. Hurricanes can be scary things even with all of the protection of property, evacuations and storm radar/forecasting. All of the preparedness was ready to go however if we had to. So it’s that time again for Shining Moments, a weekly gratitude overview and reflection. This week’s reflection is about Preparedness and the Simple Things. This week’s Gratitude list: Even though my Dad got into a really bad wreck, not a SINGLE scratch, mark or bruise on him. #FinalDestinationStyle Aunt’s birthday party was SO cute (steampunk tea party) Firepits We didn’t…

Shining Moments – June 2018 (Week 1)
Hello everyone, I hope that you had another great week! It’s that time again for Shining Moments, a weekly gratitude overview and reflection. This week’s reflection is on the lost art of Thank You cards but first, this week’s gratitude/awesomeness: I got to spend time with my favorite two boys – we had a great time going to the park and playing bingo My aunt and uncle are on a cruise for 5 days and the pictures they’ve uploaded are beautiful! Got to see a gorgeous Great Dane while out doing UberEats delivery. Found out family is coming into town in early August – so stoked! Had an “informal/how…
