Happy First day of Fall!
Who else is so excited that Fall is now here?! Fall is DEFINITELY my fave season – cooler weather, the smells of spices and harvests, bonfires, sweaters, scarves and boots, s’mores, crisp and colorful change of leaves, open windows, candles, and wax melts burning, longer walks… I could go on forever. Fall can be a bittersweet thing. The year is beginning to end, we’re heading to into the last quarter of the year, the newness of the year has waned, the blossoms of Spring have come and gone, the passions of Summer have fizzled out and now we’re in the time of harvesting what we’ve experienced this year. Reaping what…

My Interview with the #PerfectionistProblems series with Wendy de Jong
Hey everyone! Hot off the press! Check out my interview with Wendy de Jong, owner of The Gratefulist. She is full of heart and passion as she helps other creatives let go of their perfectionism and embrace their perfectly imperfect selves. A woman totally after my own heart! We all struggle with the idea of our own idea of being the best we can be and add that with what society expects and the ones we love wanting good things for us. Those must-be-perfect vibes being thrown around make it very easy to get trapped. Add 2 shakes of anxiety, a dash of fear and a pinch of insecurity and voila, a perfect recipe…

Reflection for the 2017 New Year
As 2016 is ending (thank Goodness, I just can’t even!) and 2017 is about to start, it’s now the annual time for everyone to reflect on the good and perhaps even bittersweet moments of the year. Let’s jump right on in! I want you to take a journal that makes you happy and that you’ll want to write in and/or reflect on (or a plain notebook if that makes you happy!), some plain poster board (5 sheet pack for $1 at the Dollar Tree) or even this beautiful Gold Glitter Poster Board from Staples (only $3.99. I know! It’s GORGEOUS!) Starting off with Success To start off…

November Goals aka The Action Plan
Hey everyone and Happy November! Can’t believe Halloween is come and gone! What happened to October? Oh right, Hurricane Matthew, hotel clean up, guest and client and local city event make up days, daylight beginning to get shorter and shorter and yeah, Halloween. Time goes by when you’re having fun right? We’re down to the last 2 months of the year and in my opinion some of the busiest. There’s Daylight Savings Time on Sunday the 6th (don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour – Fall back into bed and enjoy that extra hour of sleep! I’m sure you need it just as much!), Election Day on the…

Gratitude Dare
It’s November and I’m sure you’re seeing a lot of “being grateful” posts. Gratitude is a big thing! It may seem so small and trivial, but being in that mindset takes time to become a habit. It simply doesn’t happen over night! One of my blogging BFFs, Wendy over The Gratefulist, totally has it down and her recent emails have been totally inspiring! Check out her 2 recent posts about 6 mistakes you might be making while practicing gratitude (and how to avoid them) and 6 alternatives to writing a gratitude list (for when gratitude is not just your thing). These are definitely ones to save! So the creative…

Happy Halloween + Halloween Movie Marathon Ideas
Happy Halloween, Samhain, or Day of the Dead! I hope that you’re enjoying your day and ready to go get some candy trick or treating. Perhaps instead of bobbing for apples and going door to door for candy, maybe you’re attending a fall or Halloween festival. This year I’m not feeling too well, so I decided to host my own self-halloween movie marathon in the apartment, surrounded by my decorations and I turned on the orange lights I put over the door. [one-half-first][/one-half-first][one-half][/one-half] Yesterday I was able to make it out to probably one of the biggest pumpkin patches here in Charleston over at Boone Hall Plantation at the Boone…

Fall Bucket List Challenge
Hey everyone, Happy 1st day of October! We’re still waiting for fall to truly arrive here in Charleston, but we had very nice weather yesterday. Still in the lower to mid 80s here, but that’s not stopping us from prepping for fall. We already have fall events lined up, the fair will be at the end of the month and pumpkin patches popping up everywhere. I’ve already been burning fall candles and wax melts and beginning to decorate our home. I’m SO ready for fall! Has Fall reached your area yet? Any leaves changing, fall festivals, football games? I’d love for you to share with me your pictures and fun…
