Shining Moments: May 10th – 16th, 2020
What a week! Anybody else find that mid-month always seems so much busier/hectic? This week was busy, but it had a lot of nice moments. Check out this week’s Shining Moments and a delicious update to the 32 Things lists. Shining Moments – Still working (considered an essential) at the hotel – I have been given some new/added Sales responsibilities at work. Since I’ve been proving myself (and it’s been slower at the desk for check ins/outs), we’re advancing my responsibilities list and I have been given permission to go ahead and start reaching out to the prospects on the spreadsheet tracker that I made for my department. –…

Shining Moments – February 9 – 15, 2020
February is sure flying by (we’re halfway done already!) and there’s been changes & love in the air. This week’s list may seem sorta small, but I was very occupied this week – finishing up a training manual (ended up being 146 pages + extra stuff copied off in an Appendix section), working all of the jobs, taking up an offer for a side job and taking up a babysitting job. Shining moments – This was my last full-time hour week at my job and I…

Shining Moments – January 12th – 18th, 2020
Can you believe we’re already halfway through January 2020? Weren’t we JUST watching the ball drop and celebrating a new year is here? This week was mostly about work (my full time job and Ubereats) and the stress regarding work was mostly about obtaining hours this week and the upcoming week. Even as a little stressful it was for me, I’m still in the practice of trying to find the silver lining in things. In no particular order, here goes! Shining Moments – Was able to secure a full weeks hours (40 hours, usually 5 shifts) in at work and only had to use up one vacation day – Have…

Mid Week Gratitude Check In
Happy Thursday everyone! I’m a day late doing a mid week gratitude check in, but I just got back in town yesterday. With Hurricane Irma doing very weird things and also being a family member’s birthday, we ended up going out of town to evacuate just in case and also to celebrate a birthday. Literal Hurricane/birthday party haha. Lots of emotions this week, but I am grateful for this experience. Without further ado, here is this week’s mid week gratitude check in… Things I’m Grateful For: Everyone I know that would/have been impacted by Irma is safe No damage to our home Power apparently only seemed to be off…

Happy Halloween + Halloween Movie Marathon Ideas
Happy Halloween, Samhain, or Day of the Dead! I hope that you’re enjoying your day and ready to go get some candy trick or treating. Perhaps instead of bobbing for apples and going door to door for candy, maybe you’re attending a fall or Halloween festival. This year I’m not feeling too well, so I decided to host my own self-halloween movie marathon in the apartment, surrounded by my decorations and I turned on the orange lights I put over the door. [one-half-first][/one-half-first][one-half][/one-half] Yesterday I was able to make it out to probably one of the biggest pumpkin patches here in Charleston over at Boone Hall Plantation at the Boone…
