    Shining Moments – September 2018 – Week 3

    September 22, 2018 / No Comments

Hello everyone! Seriously, where has September gone?! Wasn’t it just Labor day? But guess what, it’s that time again for Shining Moments, a weekly gratitude overview and reflection. This week’s reflection is about Normalcy. Shining Moments – September 2018 Week 2

    September 15, 2018 / No Comments

Hello everyone! First thing: We are safe from Hurricane Florence *whew*. Hurricanes can be scary things even with all of the protection of property, evacuations and storm radar/forecasting. All of the preparedness was ready to go however if we had to. So it’s that time again for Shining Moments, a weekly gratitude overview and reflection. This week’s reflection is about Preparedness and the Simple Things.   This week’s Gratitude list: Even though my Dad got into a really bad wreck, not a SINGLE scratch, mark or bruise on him. #FinalDestinationStyle         Aunt’s birthday party was SO cute (steampunk tea party) Firepits         We didn’t…

    Mid Week Gratitude Check In

    September 14, 2017 / No Comments

Happy Thursday everyone! I’m a day late doing a mid week gratitude check in, but I just got back in town yesterday. With Hurricane Irma doing very weird things and also being a family member’s birthday, we ended up going out of town to evacuate just in case and also to celebrate a birthday. Literal Hurricane/birthday party haha. Lots of emotions this week, but I am grateful for this experience. Without further ado, here is this week’s mid week gratitude check in…   Things I’m Grateful For: Everyone I know that would/have been impacted by Irma is safe No damage to our home Power apparently only seemed to be off…

Hey everyone! I hope that you’ve all had a great week. This week has been pretty stressful for the Southeast coastal cities. I’m sure you’re already aware, but we have Hurricane Matthew out there and he’s making a big fuss. He’s already gone through Haiti and left devastation in a place that is still recovering from their earthquake a few years back and other back-to-back but less volatile storms this year. Hurricane Matthew (as of Thursday 11am) is a Category 4 storm with 140 mph winds. He is expected to hit Florida Friday Morning and Charleston Saturday Morning. The fun part (extreme sarcasm) of this is there is now a chance Matthew…
