Self Care Project: Week 1 (May 29th to June 4th, 2022)

Welcome to Week 1 of the Self Care Project. I thinking about this project at the end of May and wrote down my items on June 1st. I didn’t make the tracker until the 4th, but I still wanted to be accountable for the first few days. Needless to say, I didn’t get much accomplished as I was getting it together, but here we go with this new program:

 

Daily List

  • Water:  I am using my HidrateSpark PRO water bottle. It keeps my drinks cold (I HATE drinking warm water) and the puck at the bottom glows to remind me to drink. The bottle is a little pricey, but I find well worth it. I have the 17oz bottle as that is essentially 1 bottle of regular water and 8oz x 2 is also essentially 2 cups of water. They say you’re supposed to drink half of your body weight in oz, but I’m gonna start with 64 oz/day first (so 8 x 8 was easier to do), so I need to drink this bottle 4 times

 

  • Skin Care: I pulled out & rearranged all of my current E.L.F. skincare items to see what I have and put in line of sight to remember to use

 

  • Gratitude: working on using my Calm App’s gratitude section

 

  • Planners/Trackers: working on getting new systems planned out and to be realistic with my time

 

  • Calm App: working on doing the Daily Calm (10-12 min mediation), Daily Calm Reflection, Mood Check in and Gratitude Check in

 

  • Vitamins (Day & Night): I have a AM/PM container that has the days that can pop out. Just need to refill and remember to actually take

 

  • Time spent with Babe: We spend time together a little each day, but we’re aiming to be more intentional. This week was a little busy, so we aimed for some more cuddle time

 

 

Weekly List

  • Gym/Movement: I didn’t get to the gym. Babe and I have a membership at Planet Fitness, but the weekend hours don’t line up (they are 7am-7pm currently on Saturday & Sundays). I will definitely have to plan out ahead of time. I did put the hours in my planners for easier reference

 

  • Reading: I didn’t get any reading done. I do have a small stack of books from the library

 

  • 52 Lists Books/Prompt books: I did the prompts for the week today, so technically I didn’t do it the week of I think I will do them on my days off instead since my Saturday hours vary at work. “Close” shifts are typically out by like 7:15/7:30, but if a client is taking longer, I have to stay until they are finished/checked out

 

  • Church Online/Small Group: I didn’t watch this week and schedule didn’t work out

 

  • Generosity: I donated to my known closest Food Blessing Box

 

  • Cleaning/Organization: Babe and I did the dishes at home, so check?

 

  • Finances Check: I took a look & am now in the middle of making a new spreadsheet to be able to track this better. Sometimes I make this more complicated than it should be haha

 

I’m looking forward to seeing how this new program is going to work out!
