Happy July 4th
Just Because/For Fun

Happy July 4th!

Happy July 4th to everyone in the States. Today we celebrate America and it’s freedom. We celebrate with food, music, family and friends and end the night with beautiful bright fireworks in the sky.

There’s all kinds of ways to celebrate July 4th, whether you’re with family or friends, if you’re at a party, if you’re going solo or if you have to work (thank you to all of our Police, Fire, EMS, 1st Responders, Gas station attendants, Taxi/Uber drivers, Hospitality/Tourism/Food & Beverage workers – we appreciate you!!!) Below I’ve come up with my own July 4th A to Z list about things that make me think about celebrating and it might help you make some plans if you’re stumped. How many can you cross off the list?

July 4th A to Z

A – Apple Pie

B – Baseball (I’m going to our local team Charleston RiverDogs tonight!)

C- Crafts

D – Dogs (who doesn’t love a good Ole American Dog?! Please take care of your fur family – fireworks are very scary for them!)

E – Electric slide and other dances

F – Fireworks

G – Going to the beach/lake/park

H – Hamburgers and hot dogs

I – Icecream

J – Jello

K – Keeping the grill on

L – Lawn games like corn hole and ladder ball

M – Music

N – Neighborhood Block Party

O – Outside fun

P – Picnic/cookout

Q – Quiet moment of silence

R – Roasting Marshmallows

S – Stars and Stripes

T – Tye Dye

U – Uncle Sam

V – Veterans

W – Watermelon

X – XOXO for hugs and kisses

Y – Yankee Doodle Dandy (come on, you sung at least 1 verse in your head!)

Z – Zzzzzs for sleeping after a fun day

I’m wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday. Please respect and pay attention to

  1. Fireworks – cities and towns have rules for a reason and its for safety reasons. You want to play with fireworks, not trying to put a fire out!
  2. Animals  – Fireworks are loud and scary to all animals (dogs, cats, birds, wild animals). Please take care of your fur family and please keep an eye out for wildlife
  3. Military – Remember we are able to celebrate today because of our military. Take a moment of silence or thank someone who know is military (past or present).
  4. PTSD/Triggers – Loud noises, overwhelming crowds and bright/loud fireworks can overwhelm people while having fun. Respect their area, ask if they need help or assist them to a place where they feel safe.

Have a great holiday and I can’t wait to see your pictures. I’ll be posting my fun later on. Tag @cresmoonstars on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.  Don’t forget to use the hashtag #letshinebrightogether.

As always (and extra tonight!), Shine Bright…
